Symptoms of infection of the lower genitourinary tract in women can be difficult to diagnose. Three of the common causes of symptoms are thrush, chlamydia and cystitis.

How does the test work?

The tests are for women only and will identify whether symptoms are likely triggered by an infections with Candida (thrush), chlamydia or a bacterial urine infection such as cystitis.

What do the results mean?

A positive result for thrush can be treated with over the counter preparations available from your pharmacist. You should make an appointment to see your doctor or practice nurse if you have a positive result to chlamydia or a urine infection.
